Used throughout top French gastronomy, truffles are rare products and the symbol of excellent recipes. Their singular aroma and flavour have made them world famous. Also known as ‘the black diamond of cooking,’ there existseveral varieties of truffles offering varying taste qualities to the connoisseurs.

 

As with mushrooms, the flora and fawna play a particular role in the growth of truffles. The truffle cannot accomplish its complete cycle, without the help of a host plant like thyme, lavender or even oak. It is for this reason that truffles are found in the south of France and in particular in the regions of Perigord, Provence and Bourgogne.

Depending on the season, Gourmet Exception proposes to you, upon demand, truffles from Perigord or Spain.
